Folkreach privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Folkreach is a Chrome extension that helps you post to the Facebook groups you belong to and find posts from people asking for what you offer. This policy explains what data Folkreach handles and where it goes.
What Folkreach stores
Folkreach stores these things in your own browser, using Chrome's extension storage:
- the posts you write, and any photos or videos you add;
- your group lists, as read from your Facebook account;
- the history of your posting runs and each group's result;
- the posts Lead Scout finds, plus any notes, stages and stars you add;
- your conversations with the assistant;
- your settings.
This data stays on your computer. Folkreach doesn't keep your data on any server, and the developer cannot see it. You can download it as a backup from Settings, and removing the extension deletes it.
What Folkreach sends, and to whom
- Facebook. To post, read your groups, and check groups for Lead Scout, Folkreach talks to Facebook as you, using the account you're logged in to in Chrome. It only does this when you ask it to post, load groups or run Lead Scout, or when a schedule you created runs.
- Google Gemini (only if you use Pip, the assistant). When you write to Pip, Folkreach sends your message, the names of your groups and when you last posted in each, and your current draft to Google's Gemini API, so it can pick groups and write a draft. The request goes through a Folkreach server (folkreach-pip.vercel.app), which checks with ExtensionPay that your plan is paid and then forwards the request to Google. It doesn't store your message or the reply. Google handles this data under its Gemini API terms. Don't type passwords or other sensitive details into Pip.
- ExtensionPay. Payments for the Unlimited plan are handled by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe. When you pay or log in to restore a purchase, ExtensionPay receives your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. Folkreach only receives whether your plan is paid.
Folkreach doesn't send your data anywhere else, and it sends no analytics, advertising or tracking data.
What Folkreach doesn't do
- It doesn't sell or share your data.
- It doesn't reply to other people's posts or send messages for you. The only comments it writes are the first comment and bump comment you set up on your own posts. Lead Scout only lists posts for you to read.
- The assistant doesn't post anything. It fills in the Post page, and you press Post yourself. It asks before it changes schedules, Lead Scout or your group lists.
- It doesn't use your data for anything other than the features described here.
The use of information received by Folkreach complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
Folkreach asks for access to facebook.com (and Facebook's image server, fbcdn.net) so it can post and read groups as you. It asks for extensionpay.com so payments work. Its other permissions (storage, side panel, alarms for schedules, notifications for Lead Scout alerts, tabs, cookies and scripting for working with Facebook tabs) are used only for the features above.
Children
Folkreach is a tool for businesses and adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same address with a new date.
